What hasn’t been said about Bladerunner? The film made both Ridley Scott and Harrison Ford stars, introduced American audiences to Daryl Hannah and Rutger Hauer, and makes a perfect blend of two seemingly opposite genres: sci-fi and film noir, succeeding at both simultainiously.

Legend (1985)

If you haven’t seen the director’s cut of Legend, you’ve seen a very different version than Ridley Scott intended. Less “adventure” and more storybook, the director’s cut features an orchestral score (I liked the distinctive Tangerine Dream soundtrack, anachronistic it may be), and instead of a boy-to-man story for blah Tom Cruise we see delightful Mia Sara take center stage learning her power of influence over the men, and the damage an arrogant girl can wield playing games of love.
