Holly Daggers is a live-mix video artist who creates and composes visual media in real time. She’s performed as a concert VJ for Moby, Busta Rhymes, and James Brown, and was voted a Top 20 VJ worldwide by DJ Magazine, UK. She designed video environments for Fortune Magazine and Ray Ban, and created interactive video “happenings” for the Museum of Modern Art, NY.
Holly collaborates with musicians and choreographers presenting her media performances in both art gallery and theatrical settings, and manages a performance/technology collective in LIC, Queens. In 2006, Holly traveled to 34 cities with music acts featuring Ludacris, The Roots, Common, Talib Kwali, Pharcyde, and Blackalicious, creating opportune art performances by pulling members of the hip hop audience into her live chromakey rig. Through her arts non-profit Forward Motion Theater, she developed EyeWash, a six-year performance series which fostered interdisciplinary collaborations between 200 digital media artists and live performers.
Current projects include: DR!P an outrageous pool party in Times Square with nightlife maven Lee Chappell, a one-night live-video installation at the Chelsea Art Museum, and RE:VISION performance and technology festival at Secret Theatre, Queens.
