My intention was to save time by not creating theatrical curtains in a 3D app. Can’t say this AE plugin really saved time; just getting a still (not swinging or billowing in virtual wind) 3/4 fold curtain has taken a great deal of patience. Mesh errors and an opaque interface, combined with slow render times means a lot of wasted rendering hours just experimenting. Another quirk of the plugin is that you must always start with a flat drape and then animate the folding process to get the pleats! Ugh.

On the upside, your curtain’s material options are extensive, allowing for bump, transparency, and reflection maps. In theory you could create a sparkling tinsel “rain curtain” for a razzle-dazzle jazz show, or a textured velvet drape trimmed with gold fringe for the opera.

Might be easier to call Rosebrand and have the real thing delivered!
