free loops for VJs
Use these free loops in your live performances and mixes! Really, I don’t mind.
However, I retain all copyrights. You are not allowed to redistribute, publish, or share these unmixed clips, nor make any claim to ownership without written permission from me.
Most of these are short clips I made for random jobs or holiday parties, some were just for fun, so if you like them drop me an email and say so. You might need to transcode them to your favorite AVI or QT codec for best performance.
Most of my free loops are in QuickTime format, Sorenson3 codec with no sound. Most are 320*240, a few are 640*480. Why not higher res? Well, it’s my opinion that pro VJs who need higher quality will make their own clips. I’d like to think these are for newbies and visual hobbiests who need some fresh content but don’t have the time or skills yet to make their own. These aren’t intended for professional use, hence “free”. Download and mix them over other footage, and check back from time to time. I’ll add new ones when I get the chance.
All MPEG2 files are NTSC 720*480. This is the format I use when VJing off DVDs. You can change the extension to .mpg to suit your software, or change the extension to .m2v and use as an elemental stream to create a looping DVD, or transcode to your favorite codec.
